TruckingToolCalc ("we", "our", or "us") operates the website at truckingtoolcalc.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
TruckingToolCalc.com is operated by Enda Frawley, trading as Nascent Dawn.
TruckingToolCalc is designed to work without any registration or account creation. The calculators run entirely in your browser — no input data is sent to our servers unless you choose to use the "Email My Results" feature.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
FormSubmit: FormSubmit is the service that delivers form submissions to us by email. It is used for three things on this site: the "email me my results" feature on the free calculators, the Request Invoice form, and the contact form. When you use any of these, the information you enter — and, for Request Invoice, the invoice PDF generated in your browser — is transmitted to and processed by FormSubmit on our behalf, for the purpose of relaying it to us. FormSubmit's published privacy policy states that the site owner, not FormSubmit, is "responsible and the rightful owner" of information collected through the form, and that they will not disclose collected data to third parties except as needed to provide the service or where required by law. See FormSubmit's own privacy policy (dated 17 January 2019) for their full terms.
Netlify: This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA). In addition to hosting, we use Netlify Forms as a secondary record of calculator-results submissions: when you use the "email me my results" feature, the same email address and results are also sent to Netlify Forms so that a submission is not lost if the email relay fails. Netlify therefore acts as a processor for that data on our behalf, under the Data Processing Addendum incorporated into Netlify's terms. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.
Google Fonts: This site loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Google may log font requests in accordance with their privacy policy.
This site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other behavioral tracking tools.
TruckingToolCalc does not use first-party cookies. Third-party services (such as Google Fonts) may set cookies according to their own policies.
If you submit your email via the results feature, your email address and calculator results are (a) relayed to us by email through FormSubmit, and (b) stored as a form submission in our Netlify account. Email addresses submitted through the calculator forms may be added to our mailing list; every message we send includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribes are honored immediately. You can ask us to delete both at any time using the contact details below.
If you use the Request Invoice feature, the details you submit are delivered to us by email via FormSubmit and retained as part of our normal business and order records — the same way any invoice or purchase record would be kept. We do not maintain a separate marketing database of Request Invoice submissions.
If you have submitted your email via the results feature and wish to request deletion of your data, please contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
This site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Data controller: TruckingToolCalc is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at enda@systemflowgovernance.com.
Lawful basis for processing: We process your email address on the basis of consent. When you actively and voluntarily submit your email address through the calculator results form — with the notice line visible at the form — that submission constitutes your consent to receive your calculator results by email and occasional trucking tools and tips. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
What data is collected: The email address you submit, and the calculator input and output values associated with that submission. If you use the Request Invoice feature, we also collect your full name, company name, email address, product selection, and any notes you provide, for the purpose of preparing and fulfilling your order.
How long data is retained: Calculator-results submissions are retained as form submissions in our Netlify account until we delete them; Request Invoice details are retained as part of our normal business and order records. If you have joined our mailing list via the calculator results form, you remain on it until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
Third country data transfers: Data you submit through this site is transferred to and processed in the United States. Two processors are involved, and their positions differ — we set them out separately so you can make an informed decision.
Netlify, Inc. (hosting, and Netlify Forms storage of calculator-results submissions) is a US company that has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce its adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and additionally relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision 2021/914) for cross-border transfers. Netlify's Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into its terms.
FormSubmit (email relay for the results, Request Invoice, and contact forms) does not publish equivalent information. Its privacy policy, dated 17 January 2019, does not state a data storage location, does not state a retention period, does not reference the GDPR, and does not claim certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or any other transfer mechanism. We have not been able to verify a specific transfer safeguard on their part. We disclose this plainly rather than imply a protection that we cannot evidence. If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK and would prefer your details not be relayed through FormSubmit, please email us directly at the address below instead of using the on-site forms.
Your data subject rights under GDPR: You have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectification of inaccurate data, the right to erasure of your data, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing.
Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting enda@systemflowgovernance.com, and we will delete the stored submission. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Right to lodge a complaint: If you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission. Website: dataprotection.ie.
